No, Captain Obvious didn't write this page, but a little humor never hurts to eliminate the stress that often accompanies the subject of credit card debt. We all know how easy it is to rack up a bunch of credit card debt. Sometimes it's fun--you justify that new comforter set since your other one is worn out, then you need some accessories. And that new outfit you saw in the paper is also a must-have for spring! But there are other times when it's not fun--like the root canal that you expected to be billed for later but found out your portion of the payment was due on that day. Luckily, the dentist's office accepts credit cards! That was $550 you didn't expect to have to cough up, and it definitely wasn't fun!
If you've been in debt in the past, these few things are enough to make you worry a little, particularly if these days you are only comfortable paying your balance off in full each month. Or maybe you're used to having a lot of credit card debt, and it only started bothering you recently when you couldn't get yet another credit card. Sure, you were just trying to get a 0% credit card, which is actually a method some people use to eliminate credit card debt--they transfer their balances to a 0% card and try to pay them off in full during the 0% introductory period. Sounds strange to eliminate credit card debt by getting another credit card, but for some it actually works.
